People Coordinator- Monday- Friday- 37.5 hours per week

The People Coordinator will be responsible for providing HR advice, administrative and coordinating support to colleagues, line managers and employees across all functions of the business. They will be an advocate of ensuring the People Services function operates efficiently, effectively and in line with current legislative requirements.
You will be processing a range of people data and paperwork, including employment contracts and compliance related work. You will also support the wider People Team with projects and initiatives which aim to improve efficiencies and advance our internal systems.
The People Coordinator reports to the People Team Lear and will work to support the wider People Team with HR / people administration activities.
You will communicate effectively with the People Business Partners, Recruitment Team, People Advisors and customers around the business to ensure the smooth onboarding of new starters and effective management of existing staff.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience on the core elements of the role, which include, telephone and email-based HR advice, on-boarding, new starter entry, contractual amendments, personal detail amendments, leavers, family friendly advice/administration and other ad-hoc HR related activities
- Provide HR guidance or problem resolution to our colleagues, to support the business in the delivery of the service
- Work closely with the payroll team to ensure that pay impacting changes are completed accurately, in line with business process and within the defined timescales
- Ensuring full and accurate completion of all employee data, changes, and regular reconciliation of data integrity
- Work collaboratively with your team colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of the teams KPI’s
- At all times present a professional and positive image of the HR department and the company as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive and beneficial relationships
- Escalate where appropriate any risks to the People Services Team Leader, and work in conjunction to implement the relevant controls
- Demonstrate and drive a culture of high standards, data confidentiality and compliance with our associated regulated entities
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team whilst striving towards an awareness of industry best practice at all times
- Ensure own continuous professional development, through participating in department/company projects, keeping up to date with current employment legislation and enrolling on suitable role related courses
- Maintain a positive and solution oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality and adherence to the General Data Protection Regulations
Essential experience and skills
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service, coupled with experience gained in a fast-paced transactional environment
- Strong process knowledge of HR Services / People Services functions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to prioritise a multi-channel workload, whilst adhering to business SLA’s
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving, and the ability to suggest improvements
- Results driven, with the ability to deliver a best-in-class service to all our customers
- Microsoft Office knowledge
Desirable
- HR admin experience
- Experience of using HR Systems
- Experience in TUPE transfers, M&A and share purchases
- CIPD Qualification
