Are you looking to start a rewarding career in finance? We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Assistant Apprentice to join our dynamic Treasury Team. This apprenticeship will provide you with the knowledge and hands-on experience to develop a successful career within the finance function, with the potential to progress towards becoming a Chartered Accountant or Chartered Management Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
As a Treasury Assistant Apprentice, you will:
Ensure all documents and records are stored and easily accessible in shared folders.
Support the Treasury Team in responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the ongoing development of internal processes and procedures.
Process supplier, payroll, and other payments, ensuring all approvals align with company policies.
Provide cover and assistance to the Treasury Associate and Assistant with ad hoc tasks.
File and store paperwork for audit purposes.
Audit, approve, and pay employee expense claims in accordance with company policy.
Assist with the calculation of key financial metrics, such as Net Debt.
Undertake additional ad hoc duties as requested by line management.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4 or above).
A desire to work towards becoming a Chartered Accountant or Chartered Management Accountant.
Good IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications and a developing proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
A confident, hardworking, and reliable approach to all tasks.
Strong collaboration
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
