National Service Manager

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced National Service Manager to lead and manage our national mobile engineering teams and associated customer contracts.
In this role, you’ll drive exceptional customer service, maintain high operational standards, and ensure field operations run efficiently and safely. You’ll play a key part in strategic planning, performance improvement, and delivering service excellence across the UK while supporting Speedy Hire’s operational goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Develop efficient schedules and resource plans to optimise field operations
• Oversee inspections, breakdowns and service delivery in line with customer expectations
• Lead with a strong customer focus to ensure high satisfaction levels
• Monitor compliance with health & safety standards and company policies
• Manage maintenance and repair activity to meet quality and performance targets
• Analyse operational data to identify improvements and efficiencies
• Drive initiatives to enhance service delivery and reduce costs
• Manage budgets and operational reporting across the function
• Ensure engineers have the tools, equipment and vehicles needed to succeed
• Support new customer contracts, compliance requirements and digital initiatives
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience leading operational or field-based teams
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure
• IOSH qualification (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
• A positive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
