Job Introduction
Review business KPIs and financial information to ensure that we are consistently improving our performance. The role will operate over a number of regions, and will involve interaction with the operational, sales management teams, wider finance team & other support functions.
Key accountabilities
- Manage the interactions with internal and external customers, especially to form a working relationship with the Regional and Managing Directors
- Develop and embed critical performance indicators that will demonstrate the business is on track to deliver against its objectives.
- To produce, interpret and analyse standard/power BI reports that accurately reflect a true and fair view of business performance, providing commentary and business solutions to problems.
- Identify and communicate any potential risks/opportunities.
- To review/challenge the operational cost base and influence management teams on efficiencies savings.
- Be proactively involved in advising and providing insightful analysis to stakeholders.
- Work with senior managers, presenting the financial implications of strategic decisions, business opportunities and other matters.
- Ability to be positive in challenging, influencing and gaining buy in of stakeholders to aid overall performance.
- Collaboratively work with stakeholders and other business leads to support decision making and produce business cases’.
- To review underperforming depots/regions and ensure that with operational management a performance plan is put in place. Ownership of tracking performance/benefits of implemented targets.
- To attend management meetings where appropriate.
- Ensure monthly performance review packs are produced and attend required meetings.
- Be the point of contact for strategic and high-level Finance related matters from your stakeholders.
- Work closely with other UK&I support functions including HR, to provide a consistent approach to drive performance.
- Provide support to peers.
- To undertake commercial analysis of the monthly management accounts for the division and provide monthly commentary.
- Take the direct with the business on budget/reforecast process of your nominated areas and comply with full budgeting process and reporting requirements as set out by Group.
- To undertake any other analysis/projects as required by the Senior FBP and Head of Operations Finance
- Fully qualified Accountant or finalist in the process of studying towards a qualification. (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
- Knowledge in working with ERP applications (ie D365, BPC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to tailor communications to the appropriate audience.
- Experience within a busy, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
