We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager (Insights), someone who thrives on challenge and working in a constantly changing and evolving environment. Purpose:  To support the business with accurate analysis that helps drive performance improvement and maximise returns, providing strong financial support to the senior leadership team through the production of financial information and analysis.
 
Lead the budget and forecast process for the business’ investment and divestment programmes in conjunction with senior leaders and category managers, constantly challenging the status quo and presenting the financial implication of investment and divestment decisions.
 
Support Head of Insight in preparing for key Executive reporting including Investment Decisions Committee, Velocity Assets Performance Review Meeting and Divestment Committee.
 
Forge an effective working relationship with all senior members of the Velocity Assets Management Performance Review Meeting, Investment Decisions Committee and Divestment Committee.
 
Support Head of Insight in delivery of business wide transformation programme, Velocity.
 
Developing and leading the Insights team by helping to foster a culture within the team (and across the business) whereby product category management and product performance is understood and challenged on to ensure better decision making. 
 
Lead and develop best in class commercial reporting controls ensuring all areas of responsibility are accounted for.
 
Act as direct line manager for Finance Analysts in team with associated People Management responsibilities.
 
Working with both financial and non-financial managers supporting them in developing their business areas from a commercial financial point of view, looking at opportunities for new business initiatives and optimising the asset base. 
 
  • Significant years post-qualified accountant with a proven track record of commercial and financial business partnering at a senior leadership level.
  • Proven experience in leading a team to deliver results with the ability to bring the best out in others.
  • Strength of character to support and influence senior key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
