Financial Planning & Analysis Assistant – Ideal for a Recent Graduate Taking the Next Step

This FP&A Assistant role offers the perfect opportunity to gain wide-ranging exposure within a fast-paced and dynamic finance team. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a hands-on role in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and more.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you’ll support the production of financial insights and reporting across the Group. This includes broker and competitor analysis, board reporting, budgeting, and partnering with other finance functions such as the P&L and Tax teams. You'll be directly involved in month-end processes, audit preparation, and strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing management accounts and monthly Executive/PLC board reports
- Support the maintenance of the BPC reporting suite, including liaising with consultants
- Analyse external broker reports and competitor financials
- Contribute to the annual budgeting cycle with robust analysis
- Help coordinate half-year and year-end results, including audits and presentations
- Collaborate with the P&L team on the month-end close
- Provide ad hoc tax reporting support to the Group Tax & Treasury Manager
- Take on other finance projects as directed by the Group Financial Controller
What We’re Looking For
- A finance-related degree (minimum 2:2), or 1+ years’ relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Interest in pursuing a professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA
- A problem-solver with sound judgement and innovative thinking

Additional Information
This hybrid role requires 1–2 days per week in the office. More frequent office presence may be needed initially during onboarding and training. Flexibility around working hours may also be needed during peak reporting periods.
