An excellent opportunity for an early-career sales professional with field sales experience who is looking to progress into a Business Development Manager role within a technically focused, engineering-led environment.
About the Role
Lloyds British, part of the Speedy Group, is looking for a commercially minded and customer-focused Field Sales Executive to support the growth of our Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) and value-added engineering services across the UK.
This is a consultative, solutions-led role where you will work closely with customers to understand their operational, safety, and compliance challenges, and deliver tailored service solutions.
Rather than selling on price alone, you will build long-term partnerships by delivering value through expert inspection, testing, certification, and asset management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their engineering, compliance, safety, and operational needs
- Identify customer challenges and develop tailored TIC and service solutions
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through networking, research, and site visits
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including engineers and decision-makers
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to implementation
- Collaborate with internal engineering, bid, and operations teams to develop proposals
- Develop value-based business cases focused on safety, compliance, and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Provide customer and market feedback to enhance service offering
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Early in your sales career
- Proven experience in a field-based sales role
Desirable:
- Experience in consultative, solutions-based B2B sales
- Ability to understand technical or service-led offerings
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience managing a sales pipeline
- Comfortable using CRM systems
- Ambition to progress into a Business Development Manager role
Experience within engineering, technical, compliance, or service-led environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
