We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager (PL) , someone who thrives on challenge and working in a constantly changing and evolving environment. The role will be responsible for the monthly management accounting processes and controls, specifically responsible for the Profit and Loss accounts and team members. They will act as financial support to the senior leaders through the production of timely financial information and analysis - this will encompass budgeting, forecasting and ongoing control.
Decision making responsibility for processes and controls relating to monthly management accounting and reporting. Key to improving quality of controls and information both for Board and for business areas
Senior team member within Group Finance, reporting to the Head of Management Accounts. Key point of contact for business partners within Operational Finance and will have frequent involvement and interaction with the Group Financial Controller, Head of Transactional Finance and the Head of Operational Finance.
Management responsibility for management accountants within the Revenue and GP team (presently 3 direct reports) and Finance Manager (Overheads) (overseeing Overheads team which currently comprises 4 team members)
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge in working with ERP applications (preferably D365, BPC)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) internally across distances and externally with other stakeholders.
- Ability to tailor communications to the appropriate audience
- Team management experience
- Proven track record of financial control and demonstrated the ability to lead process changes
- Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
