Job Introduction
Sales Executive – Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC)
Lloyds British | Hybrid | National Role | 37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday
An ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress into a Business Development Manager role within a technically focused, engineering-led environment.
About the Role
Lloyds British, part of the Speedy Group, is seeking a commercially minded and customer-focused Sales Executive to support the growth of our Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) and value-added engineering services across the UK.
This is a consultative, solutions-led sales role, focused on understanding customers’ operational, safety, and compliance challenges and designing tailored service solutions that help them operate safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
Rather than selling products on price alone, you will work in partnership with customers to deliver long-term value through expert inspection, testing, certification, and asset management solutions.
Key Purpose
To identify, develop, and secure new and existing business by delivering bespoke, technically informed service solutions that meet customers’ regulatory, operational, and commercial requirements, while building sustainable, long-term relationships.
You will develop a strong, quality-focused sales pipeline and support profitable growth aligned to sector, regional, and strategic objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
Engage with customers to understand their engineering, compliance, safety, and operational needs
Diagnose customer challenges and translate them into tailored TIC and service solutions
Proactively identify new opportunities through research, networking, site engagement, and market intelligence
Build trusted relationships with decision-makers, engineers, and operational stakeholders
Manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from discovery to implementation
Work collaboratively with engineering, bids, and operational teams to design customer-specific proposals
Develop value-led business cases that demonstrate risk reduction, compliance assurance, and operational efficiency
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments to inform strategy
Provide feedback to continuously enhance Lloyds British’s service proposition
What We’re Looking For
Experience in consultative, solutions-based B2B sales
Strong ability to understand technical or service-led propositions
Confident relationship builder with a customer-first mindset
Proven experience managing and progressing complex sales pipelines
Skilled in needs analysis, solution design, and value-based negotiation
Proficient in CRM systems and sales tools
Confident communicator, capable of delivering professional presentations
Ambition to progress into a Business Development or strategic account role
Engineering, technical, or compliance-related sales exposure is highly advantageous.
