The Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Rail Project Supervisor to join our Rail Division. Based primarily across Glasgow and the northern region, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of rail projects—specifically site lighting installations—ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
This role combines hands-on project supervision with operational oversight, stakeholder management, and financial accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate rail and site lighting projects across the northern region
Lead day-to-day operations, including shift planning, resource allocation, and team coordination
Monitor lighting project costs, ensuring alignment with financial targets
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely milestone achievement
Oversee project budgets and manage financial performance
Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Manage supplier and subcontractor contracts, resolving issues as needed
Track project progress and provide regular status reports to senior management
Manage changes to scope, timeline, and budget with proper documentation and communication
What We’re Looking For
Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects end-to-end, ideally in the rail, construction, or tool hire sectors
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Proven ability to manage project budgets and control costs
Commercially aware and performance-focused with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
