As an Engineering Planner, you'll play a key role in coordinating and scheduling our team of field-based engineers, ensuring inspection, testing and maintenance activities are planned efficiently and delivered in line with customer requirements.
You'll work closely with engineers, customers and operational teams to ensure resources are used effectively, appointments are managed and our customers receive a reliable and professional service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys planning, problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Planning and scheduling daily and weekly workloads for our field-based Inspection and Maintenance Engineers.
Coordinating engineer appointments, inspections, maintenance visits and customer bookings.
Ensuring engineering resources are allocated efficiently, taking into account location, availability, skills and competencies.
Liaising with customers to arrange appointments and confirm service requirements.
Monitoring engineer schedules and responding to changes, cancellations and urgent requests.
Working closely with operational managers and engineers to maximise productivity and minimise unnecessary travel and downtime.
Ensuring statutory inspections and planned maintenance activities are scheduled within required timescales.
Maintaining accurate planning records, job information and customer details on internal systems.
Identifying potential scheduling conflicts and taking proactive steps to resolve them.
Supporting the delivery of agreed service levels and customer expectations.
Communicating effectively with engineers, customers and internal teams to ensure everyone is kept informed.
Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency.
We're looking for someone who has:
Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, service coordination or administration role.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers, engineers and operational teams.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
Good geographical knowledge and an understanding of efficient route planning.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using planning or scheduling systems.
The ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a busy operational environment.
A positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Experience within an engineering, inspection, maintenance or field service environment would be beneficial, but isn't essential. We're just as interested in your planning skills, ability to coordinate resources and willingness to learn.

Our benefits include:
