Role: Hire Desk Controller
Location: London Gateway
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00

Our Hire Desk Controller is a key member of the depot team and plays an essential role in delivering exceptional service. As part of the front line of our sales and customer operations, you will build strong relationships with customers and colleagues while coordinating the entire hire process – from taking orders through to arranging delivery and collection. Your work ensures that every customer receives the fast, reliable, and friendly support Speedy is known for.

In this desk-based role, you will work closely with stock teams, drivers and engineers throughout the day. Clear communication and good teamwork are essential, ensuring equipment is available and dispatched on time, keeping delays to a minimum and customers satisfied.

• Confident verbal and written communication
• Adaptability and a positive approach
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in the hire industry or a similar sales or operational role
• Ability to support the delivery of our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
