We’re currently looking for a friendly and customer-focused Hire Desk Controller to join our team, based at our Haydock depot. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As a Hire Desk Controller, you’ll be at the heart of our operations and a key point of contact for our customers. You’ll play a vital role in delivering outstanding service by building strong relationships and coordinating the entire hire process – from taking the initial enquiry through to delivery and collection. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the depot to ensure everything runs smoothly and our customers receive the best possible experience.
Your day-to-day role will be mainly desk-based, working alongside teams such as stock, transport, and engineering to make sure equipment is available, orders are fulfilled efficiently, and any queries are resolved quickly and professionally.
To help you succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring:
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
A flexible and adaptable approach to work
A genuine desire to learn and develop
A full UK driving licence
Previous experience in the hire industry, or in a similar sales or operational role
The ability to support your team in delivering our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
