Customer Support Co-ordinator

Job Introduction

Speedy is proud to be the UK’s leading hire provider, offering the widest range of tools, specialist equipment, plant and support services – everything our customers need for every job.

Job Title: Customer Support Co-ordinator
Location: Thurnscoe (based on site in the Balfour office)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30 (40 hours per week)

We are looking for a highly capable and organised Customer Support Co-ordinator to join our on-site team at the Balfour office. Unlike a depot-based role, this position operates within a customer-facing office environment where professionalism, accuracy and strong administrative ability are essential.

You will still manage the full hire process—from taking orders to arranging delivery and collection—but a substantial portion of this role involves producing reports, handling detailed administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and supporting contract-specific requirements. This role requires someone who is confident working independently, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable interacting with both internal stakeholders and client representatives on site.

Day to day, you will be desk-based, coordinating closely with stock teams, drivers, engineers and the wider contract team to ensure equipment is readily available and customers receive exceptional service. Strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment are critical.

What We Offer

We are committed to creating a supportive, balanced and rewarding workplace. As part of the Speedy team, you will benefit from:

• 95% employee discount across the Speedy brand
Extensive training, development and career progression opportunities
Voluntary Health Cash Plan
• My Staff Shop discounts with a wide range of retailers
• Green Commute Initiative (cycle-to-work scheme)
PAM Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering confidential support for wellbeing, legal and financial matters

Speedy operates an industry-leading Work Life Balance initiative, reflecting our commitment to reducing core contracted hours, supporting colleague wellbeing, and promoting healthier working patterns. We offer a range of flexible working options, including adjusted start/finish times, shorter days, term-time hours and job share arrangements. Talk to us about what flexibility you need.

You will also have access to Speedy’s Career Line of Sight, providing clear visibility of progression routes and development opportunities across the Speedy Group.

Please note that Speedy may close vacancies early if we receive a high volume of applications. We therefore encourage early submission.
