Team Manager – Glasgow

Monday to Friday | 07:30–17:00 | 42 hours per week

We’re looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead, coach and develop our team in Glasgow, creating a high-performing environment that delivers an exceptional service to our customers.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of people, performance and service, while building an engaged and accountable team.

The role

As Team Manager, you’ll:

  • Lead, motivate and manage the team to deliver excellent customer service
  • Provide clear day-to-day direction and support
  • Coach and develop colleagues through regular feedback and performance conversations
  • Manage appraisals, performance and people matters effectively
  • Monitor KPIs and take action to improve performance
  • Plan and prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines and service levels are achieved
  • Create a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
  • Lead by example, demonstrating our values and a strong customer focus
  • Support the delivery of our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience leading and developing a team
  • Strong coaching skills with the ability to improve individual and team performance
  • A confident, proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong customer service experience
  • The ability to build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Confidence managing competing priorities and working to deadlines
  • Good IT and systems skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Axapta and On-Guard would be advantageous
  • Previous experience within the hire industry would be beneficial, but isn’t essential
