We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data & Process team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how Speedy uses data to drive better decisions, improve business processes and deliver real value across the organisation.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand how data is created, managed and used. You'll transform complex data into trusted, meaningful information that supports strategic decision making and helps improve business performance.

This is a hands-on technical role where you'll combine analytical thinking with strong stakeholder engagement to develop innovative data products and automation solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with colleagues across the business to understand their data, processes and reporting requirements.
• Develop trusted datasets and robust data models that provide a single source of truth.
• Analyse complex data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for process improvement.
• Design and deliver impactful data products, including:
  • Interactive Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Analytical and semantic data models
  • Data quality automation
  • AI-powered search and chat agents
  • Agentic workflows
  • Predictive and analytical models
• Recommend and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and business performance.
• Mentor and support junior team members and apprentices, sharing your technical expertise and best practice.
• Continue developing your own technical capability across emerging technologies and data solutions.

What We're Looking For

You'll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent stakeholder management and a genuine passion for using data to make a difference.

You'll also bring:

• Advanced SQL skills.
• Advanced Power BI development experience.
• Strong knowledge of DAX and KPI modelling.
• Experience building scalable reporting and analytical solutions.
• An understanding of data modelling and data governance principles.
• Exposure to Power Automate and Copilot Studio, or a willingness to develop these skills.
• A good understanding of machine learning and statistical modelling concepts and when they can add business value.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
