Sales Director – Powered Access – Speedy Hire

As a Sales Director for the Speedy Hire Powered Access business, your primary responsibility is to develop and own the powered access sales strategy and maximise profitable powered access revenues to deliver the business unit targets.

You will champion Powered Access sales for Speedy Hire, utilising both directly managed and indirect sales routes, leveraging the power of the wider Speedy Hire business including all relevant areas, divisions & departments.

Your strategy will look to develop and implement sales plans to penetrate new markets, expand the customer base, and increase market share – with a significant focus on our industry leading ‘Eco-fleet’ and in line with our ambitions to become the Powered Access company of choice within the industry

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 

  • Identifying key opportunities, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships with clients and industry partners. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment between sales efforts and company objectives
  • Analyses sales data, monitor industry trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions and improve sales.
  • Negotiate contracts and stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Responsible for developing strategic opportunities within the Powered Access industry. 
  • Leveraging existing business and investigating opportunities to develop new services and products.
  • Growing sector specific revenue streams by identifying sector specific opportunities.
  • Develop a full 360 degree understanding of the Powered Access sector and the marketplace surrounding it and is familiar with the specific trends and opportunities within this.
  • Leads and owns campaign management and customer specific focus for target Powered Access accounts.
  • Works closely with all levels of Sales within Speedy – Majors, Regionals, Projects & CRC to drive Powered Access growth.
  • Works with and forms a key stakeholder position within the Powered Access Senior Leadership Team.
  • Embrace social media fully and utilise effectively to grow customer network and Speedy awareness.
  • To ensure all sales activities and progress is recorded via the appropriate CRM system.
  • Lead like you mean it, always working as part of a complete team, win hearts and minds and drive cultural change through teamwork within your area and the wider business. 
  • Flexible and capable to quickly adapt to a change and positively support the roll out of Velocity for colleagues and external customers.
  • Drive Innovation and source technological advancements in the industry in line with our decade to deliver strategy. 
  • To present and encourage a safe, positive, and professional work environment for the team and the wider business
  • Always demonstrate the business values
  • Ensure the GDPR policy is always followed.
  • Conducting additional ad hoc duties may be required.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Deliver the sustainability strategy – Decade to Deliver.
  • You will be accountable for change management within your role which may involve facilitating and guiding organizational transitions to ensure successful adoption of new ways of working, processes, technologies, or strategies.
