Contractual Hours: 42 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Team Manager to join our Trading division, supporting our teams across Scotland.
This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for coaching, motivating and developing Team Managers across our Trading and Implant desks, creating an environment where our people can perform at their best and deliver service excellence to both internal and external customers.
You’ll lead by example, embedding a positive and collaborative culture with a strong focus on customer experience, operational performance, continuous improvement and people development.
Working closely with our Operations and Sales teams, you’ll ensure our Trading function operates effectively, achieves its targets and continues to provide our customers with the high level of service they expect from Speedy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing strong leadership, coaching and guidance to Team Managers and their wider teams
- Setting clear performance expectations, monitoring progress and providing regular, constructive feedback
- Conducting regular 1-2-1s and supporting the effective completion of PDRs
- Developing capability within the team and identifying future talent through succession planning and our Speedy Career Line of Sight
- Supporting effective recruitment, onboarding and retention across the region
- Planning team resources, working schedules and absence cover to maintain service levels
- Supporting Employee Relations matters in partnership with our People Team
- Ensuring customers receive an excellent service and that agreed service levels and expectations are consistently achieved
- Managing and supporting the effective mobilisation of new customer accounts into the Trading division
- Monitoring performance against agreed targets and budgets while effectively managing costs
- Ensuring operational processes and procedures are consistently followed across Trading and Implant teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and customer experience
- Supporting and resolving escalated customer and operational queries
- Building strong relationships with our Depot Network, Sales and Operations teams, suppliers and customers
- Developing a strong understanding of Speedy products and services to identify opportunities to maximise revenue
- Ensuring accuracy across Speedy and customer operating systems
- Supporting projects and business change initiatives relevant to the Trading function
- Championing the successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working, including digital transformation
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, GDPR and all relevant company policies and procedures
- Supporting the delivery of our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
What you’ll need:
We’re looking for an experienced people leader who can inspire teams, manage performance and build a culture focused on delivering results and excellent customer service.
You’ll need:
- Strong people management and leadership experience
- A coaching-led approach with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams
- Experience of managing operational performance, targets and KPIs
- Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of cost control and business performance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A strong customer focus with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving
- Confidence in managing change and supporting teams through new processes, systems and ways of working
- Strong digital skills and the ability to embrace new technology
- The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions
- A flexible and adaptable approach within a fast-paced operational environment
Knowledge or experience of hire, Trading operations, cross-hire or a similar customer-focused operational environment would be advantageous.
