Job Title - Rail Equipment Engineer
Location - Doncaster
Working Hours - Mon - Fri, 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week
Based in the depot, the Rail Engineer is a key role to Speedy's supply of rail tools and equipment; ensuring service schedules are up to date and repairing faulty rail equipment as necessary to ensure it remains available for hire.
What you’ll need:
- Strong customer focus
- Good knowledge of the local area
- Driving licence and experience driving within the UK
- Be able to assist trained rail engineers during weekends to support various jobs on track, such as setting out our sight lighting and operating our clipping machines
- Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
- Experience with 2 and 4 stroke engines
- Experience of railway works advantageous
- Weekend overtime works expected
- Flexibility due to railway works
- Excellent time keeping
- Flexibility and availability on weekends and holidays (visibility at least 4 weeks in advance to allow planning).
