Rail Equipment Engineer - Managed Service Lighting 

Crewe - National - Varied Shifts 

Monday to Friday – 7.00 – 4.30pm

We are seeking an experienced Rail Equipment Engineer to join our Managed Service Lighting division in Erith. 

Duties:

  • Daily preventative and breakdown maintenance activities on rail tool equipment and lighting
  • Ensure service schedules are up to date and repair faulty rail equipment as necessary to ensure it remains available for hire
  • Work additional hours for breakdowns and time sensitive project work.
  • Maintenance often needs to be carried out overnight so you will be expected to work nights, shift payments included 

What you’ll need:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills and able to use tools effectively
  • Lighting managements experience
  • Lighting and power product knowledge
  • Personal Track Safety
  • ICI and BTA rail permits
  • The ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends 
  • Full valid driving licence
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety, relevant to the role
  • Commitment  to learn and develop
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
