Lifting Equipment Engineer 
Location: Glasgow
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week

We are seeking a proactive Lifting Equipment Engineer  to join our busy Glasgow depot. In this workshop-based role, you will be responsible for the testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of lifting hire equipment. From ensuring equipment is safe and compliant to supporting customer needs with efficient turnaround, you will be central to maintaining the high operational standards Speedy is known for.

You may also attend customer sites occasionally to support long-term hire contracts, perform servicing, and respond to breakdowns, helping to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical lifting equipment

  • Ability to maintain excellent health and safety practices

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, confident decisions

  • A reliable, positive work ethic
