Head of Major Projects – National

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Speedy team as a Head of Major Projects Manager. The successful candidate will deliver and implement a strategic plan for Major Projects managing a team of Major Project Managers to deliver long-term, sustainable revenue growth. Identify, target and implement strategic onsite opportunities, support key client/stakeholder relationships and ultimately deliver beneficial market presence and revenue for Speedy.
You will need to be driven, organised and adaptable to succeed in this important and challenging role.
Direct industry experience is not essential but you will ideally be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with large-scale, complex and multi-stakeholder relationships.
Job details:
- To manage the Major Accounts team effectively and proactively to deliver sustained growth and achievement of all targeted requirements as agreed with the Sales Director
- Responsible for the growth and development of your team’s customer portfolios in line with budget
- Understand and realise the contribution of the Major Account Managed team’s contribution to the overall picture.
- Responsible for contributing to the shaping and implementation of strategy to develop and grow revenue across all account streams, service lines and categories.
- Coach, lead and train all team members, identify, recruit and on-board new employees into Speedy, development plans and regular PDR’s completed. Wellbeing of employees essential to role.
- Managing and reporting on performance of team member accounts against sales KPI’s ensuring sales and profit opportunities are maximised, resolving issues with remedial actions.
- Ensure the Major Account Managers build long-term customer relationships, including knowledge of customers / sectors.
What you’ll need:
- Experience dealing at Director/C-Suite level
- Proven and demonstrable experience of leading a Sales team in a structured environment to achieve targets
- Financial and Commercial Acumen
- Proven experience of successfully managing large scale accounts / bids in a structured sales environment
- Professional communication and presentation skills
- Process and Project Management skills
- Motivate and encourage others, have outstanding communication and decision making abilities
- Highly developed business networking skills with evidence to support
- Instantly credible with the presence to develop accounts
