Inspection Engineer – Southampton
Location: Southampton | Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 (39 hours/week)

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Inspection Engineer to join our team in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your engineering experience across multiple disciplines, with full training and clear progression to become a multi-skilled engineer.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll provide reliable, responsive and first-class inspection services for lifting and industrial equipment, ensuring clients meet legal and safety obligations. Key tasks include:
Inspection and maintenance of lifting equipment and accessories
Conducting load and pull testing, occasional destructive testing
Supporting the rigging loft and managing lifting accessories
Working on industrial doors, including surveying, inspection, and maintenance
Carrying out electrical installation maintenance
Inspecting and maintaining roller shutter doors
Assisting in developing broader competencies to become fully multi-skilled across our full service offering
About You:
We’re looking for someone with an engineering background and a passion for learning new skills.
Essential:
General engineering or mechanical background
Experience with electrical installation and maintenance
Experience with industrial doors and roller shutters
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Eye for detail and a practical, hands-on approach
Desirable:
LEEA Foundation qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
NVQ / City & Guilds in Engineering, Mechanics, or related field
Experience in a testing or inspection environment
