We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Manager , someone who thrives on challenge and working in a constantly changing and evolving environment. Develop and Implement Data Governance Framework:
Create and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with the company's data strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the framework addresses data needs across various business units and aligns with industry best practices.
Data Privacy and Security:
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and company policies related to data access, usage, and retention.
Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
Data Classification and Categorization:
Develop a data classification system to categorize data based on sensitivity and criticality.
Collaborate with stakeholders to assign appropriate data access controls and permissions.
Data Governance Communication and Training:
Conduct training sessions for employees to promote data governance awareness and understanding.
Communicate data governance policies and changes effectively across the organization.
Data Stewardship:
Designate data stewards and establish their roles, responsibilities, and communication channels.
Work closely with data stewards to resolve data-related issues and ensure data ownership and accountability

What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) as a Data Governance Manager or a similar role in data management and governance.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance principles, data quality management, and data privacy regulations.
  • Familiarity with data-related tools, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership abilities to drive data governance initiatives and foster a data-driven culture.
  • Relevant certifications in data management and governance (e.g., DAMA, DGSP)
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
