Location: Pioneer House, Pioneer Park, Whitby Road, Bristol
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Fixed Term Contract- Mat Cover 12 months

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Damage & Loss Coordinator to join our specialist team in Bristol. In this role, you will work closely with workshops, depots and customers to ensure all damage and loss charges are applied accurately, fairly and in a timely manner.


About the role
Reporting to the Damage & Loss Manager, you will be responsible for managing customer damage and loss claims from initial notification through to resolution. This includes investigating claims, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, negotiating settlements and ensuring accurate billing outcomes. You will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships while supporting efficient and consistent claims handling across the business.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage new customer damage and loss claims from initial receipt through to resolution

  • Maintain and update existing claims, working proactively to achieve timely closure

  • Investigate claims thoroughly, reviewing documentation, workshop reports and supporting evidence

  • Negotiate and settle new and outstanding claims directly with customers and insurance providers

  • Liaise professionally with customers, workshops, depots and senior stakeholders

  • Work closely with internal workshops and external repair partners to support timely repair and accurate billing outcomes

  • Support the sales team and depot network with damage and loss queries and escalations

  • Accurately record workshop reports and claim activity within internal systems while managing workloads effectively

  • Escalate unresolved disputes to the Damage & Loss Team Leader as appropriate

  • Travel to workshop locations where required to support claim resolution

  • Support your business unit/team in delivering our ESG Strategy — Decade to Deliver


Additional responsibilities

  • Resolve asset-related queries via telephone and email

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally

  • Support company stock takes when required

Essential

  • Strong team player with excellent organisational and time management skills

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organisation

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve asset or claim-related issues
