Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Our highly skilled and qualified Inspection Engineers provide a reliable, responsive and first-class service across the UK, helping customers ensure their lifting equipment remains safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

We are currently looking for a Crane Inspection Engineer to join our team, covering Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.

If you have strong technical knowledge of cranes and lifting equipment, enjoy fault finding and problem solving, and are committed to making safety your number one priority, we would like to hear from you.

As a Crane Inspection Engineer, you will carry out thorough examinations and inspections of cranes, hoists and associated lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards, including LOLER and PUWER.

You will work directly with customers, providing clear technical advice and accurately recording inspection findings and any remedial actions required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out statutory inspections and thorough examinations of cranes, hoists and associated lifting equipment.

• Assessing equipment against LOLER, PUWER and relevant industry standards.

• Identifying defects, deterioration and potential safety concerns.

• Producing accurate inspection reports and certification.

• Advising customers on remedial actions and next steps following inspections.

• Building strong, professional relationships with customers.

• Managing your workload effectively across Wolverhampton and the surrounding area.

• Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and technical compliance.

• Supporting the wider Lloyds British team in delivering a responsive and professional service.

What You'll Need

• NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent relevant engineering qualification.

• Relevant industry experience working with cranes, hoists and lifting equipment.

• Strong technical knowledge of lifting equipment and lifting machines.

• A good understanding of LOLER and PUWER requirements.

• Experience carrying out inspections, examinations or maintenance within the lifting industry.

• A full UK driving licence.

• The ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload effectively.
