An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Category Manager whose responsibility will lie in ensuring that Speedy continues to be seen as a credible provider of equipment & services to our chosen target markets. You will roll out best practice across all disciplines involving equipment with the designated Categories throughout all TLS regions, as well as assisting in gaining a larger market share for Speedy in the hire, repair, sales and associated markets.
Main Responsibilities
• Grow the overall utilisation figure of owned Assets within the specified Category/Product Groups
• Monitor hire rates and ensure they do not slip below floor/market expected rates.
• Assist with discount levels being set & then adhered to.
• Ensure the Asset turn of all products within the category, is kept to an agreed level.
• Ensure the growth in margin achieved in products within the category/product groups, is in-line with agreed expectations/targets
• Work with Supply Chain and Asset Management teams to ensure a realistic & viable asset disposal process exists for products within the category
• Identify new products available in the market.
• Manage the New Product Approval/Implementation Process for all new products within the Category
• Ensure all products have a “cradle to grave” process.
• Work alongside Supply Chain to assist with SLA’s, ensure buy-backs on purchased equipment.
• Assist with training of operational staff on new/refresher products.
• Develop & implement an appropriate staff induction program.
• Assist with Sales & Operational Training relevant to category/product group, to include: features & Benefits, competitive market, target markets/sectors, pricing and Health & Safety legislation
• Attend Category technical review meetings.
• Assist with the Speedy Brochure and additional Marketing Collateral
• To assist the Bids & Tenders Team where appropriate/required

Previous experience of Category/Product Management
