We're looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join our team covering Merseyside & North Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to build long-term customer relationships, identify new business opportunities and help our customers deliver their projects safely, efficiently and on time.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of key customer accounts while identifying opportunities to introduce new products and services across the Speedy business.
You'll work closely with internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience, ensuring every opportunity is maximised and every customer receives the highest level of service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing a portfolio of strategic customer accounts.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to grow revenue through cross-selling and new service offerings.
- Creating and delivering strategic account plans.
- Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure excellent customer delivery.
- Negotiating commercial agreements while maintaining profitable growth.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
- Supporting Speedy's ESG strategy and promoting sustainable business practices.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is customer-focused, commercially aware and passionate about building lasting business relationships.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in business development, account management or strategic sales.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent financial understanding.
- Proven experience of strategic account planning and business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- The ability to work independently whilst collaborating with wider teams.
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience within the hire, construction, industrial or related sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
