As a Application Support Analyst you will play a key role in the support of new and existing software applications.  Development of existing IS controls that originate from within the IS Service Delivery function.

The principal objectives of the role are:

  • Support the Application and Integration Manager
  • To act as the internal technical expert for the Speedy application portfolio and work as part of the team responsible for the ongoing maintenance & support for all parts of the business
  • Act as a support point of contact for users company wide and play a key role in driving changes to improve business processes through ongoing systems review
  • To identify areas of improvement within the system and its use (including trialling new processes and set ups)
  • Develop, Implement and Maintain Test Scripts for all Speedy and 3rd Party applications
  • Quality assure all application changes and developments using UAT methodology
  • Perform system implementations and upgrades ensuring all changes are done following recognised industry best practices and IS processes
  • Deliver identifiable business benefits from the existing applications; building on the existing platforms
  • Logging and resolving incidents / requests in line with associated documented processes
  • Design and document and / or re-design and manage the implementation of process controls
  • Implementation of service enhancements
  • Generation and delivery of both regular and ad-hoc IT related reporting and MI
  • Timely escalation of issues to your line manager
  • Effective communication to IT teams, 3rd party IT vendors and Speedy Business units
  • Provide training to Service Desk team members were required to ensure knowledge is shared and processes are being followed
  • Provide support to Business Strategic projects as required
  • Conduct additional ad hoc duties as required
  • Promote participation in IS community

Desirable

  • SQL Server 2008R2 & 2012 DBA Knowledge
  • Familiarity of ITIL best practises
  • Experience of working in a Service Orientated Environment
  • Experience of supporting mobile workforce
